In the famous scene where Stoller drafts behind a Cinzano lorry he's clearly on a Masi with a frame very similar the one shown below, but in the scene where he's knocked off his bike by the Italian cycling team he's apparently riding a Rossin. If anyone has a copy of the movie could you take a look for me? [elprez (at) hotmail.co.uk]
I started this blog after buying a vintage 1982 Rossin Record frame on impulse. The dilemma was what to do next? For details of this restoration click on 'Older posts' at the bottom of the page. The blog has turned itself into an unofficial Rossin archive.

BREAKING AWAY ON A ROSSIN?
Everyone's favourite cycling movie 'Breaking Away' (1979) features Dennis Christopher playing wannabe pro cyclist Dave Stoller.

There were apparently 3 bikes used in the movie - 2 Masi Gran Criteriums and a repainted Sears bike which was used for the bike pump scene - you can tell them by the different brake calipers - the Sears bike has Weinman callipers with cable pull on the other side from Campy.
