This is Rossin 'splatter' frame from 1986 or 1987. It's made from Columbus Matrix tubing, has internal cable routing and there's a race number holder on top tube. Not sure if the Rossin frame painters were influenced by Jackson Pollock or not, but they certainly created some eye catching designs using this technique.
I started this blog after buying a vintage 1982 Rossin Record frame on impulse. The dilemma was what to do next? For details of this restoration click on 'Older posts' at the bottom of the page. The blog has turned itself into an unofficial Rossin archive.

LUGGED CHROMOVELATO FRAME
A Cromovelato finish is where a completely chromed frame is painted with a coloured clear coat which gives it a glossy almost translucent finish, not unlike candy.
I believe this technique is no longer used because the chemicals involved are bad for the environment, so frames like the lugged eighties one below are become increasingly hard to find.
This one sold on eBay for just over £500.00 ($810.00)
